Kyra Thomas

Lead Program Support Specialist

About Kyra

Kyra Thomas serves as Lead Program Staff at Chateau Health & Wellness, bringing authenticity, calm leadership, and lived recovery insight into the program environment.

She was drawn to this work through her own recovery journey from addiction and childhood trauma.

Because she understands what it takes to rebuild from the inside out, Kyra shows up with empathy that feels real and support that stays consistent.

Her primary areas of interest within rehabilitation include trauma and PTSD support, addiction and substance use recovery, and mental health and stress management.

These focus areas shape how she connects with clients and how she supports the day to day stability of the program.

Role and Day to Day Responsibilities

As Lead Program Staff, Kyra helps support the daily flow of the program, ensuring clients and staff have what they need to stay on track.

She plays an active role in maintaining structure, helping clients navigate expectations, and providing steady presence when challenges come up.

At the same time, she works closely with the team to keep communication clear and the environment supportive.

Strengths That Support Clients in Real Time

Kyra is known for connecting with clients in a genuine and grounded way. She brings a calm presence in stressful moments and uses active listening and authenticity to help clients feel understood rather than judged.

Because first responders often carry pressure to stay composed, Kyra’s steady style helps create space for honesty, emotional regulation, and forward movement.

What she finds most rewarding is the connection itself. Building trust and watching clients open up over time is what makes the work meaningful to her.

Life Outside the Program

Outside of work, Kyra enjoys creative outlets and quiet connection. She spends time playing music, writing, and being with her cat. These interests reflect her focus on self expression and balance, which supports her ability to show up fully for others.
