About Aki
Hi, I’m Aki Woods. I was born on December 21, 2020 and rescued on July 28, 2023 by the most loving humans a dog could ask for. I’m a proud mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Great Pyrenees, and I’m fully convinced I’m on payroll.
Since my mom and dad both work at Chateau Health & Wellness, I get to come in more often than not. That means more belly rubs, more hallway greetings, and more opportunities to help people feel safe, seen, and slightly less stressed.
How I Support People at Chateau
I specialize in the kind of support you can’t always put in a progress note. My calming presence and excellent eye contact have a funny way of making humans start talking about their feelings, even when they swear they are totally fine.
My approach is simple: sit too close, stare into your soul, and drool a bunch of empathy your way. Basically, I’m a 108 pound weighted blanket who accepts all payments through treats and emotional breakthroughs.
Hobbies and Highly Important Work Duties
When I’m not busy supporting the Chateau community, you can usually find me doing one of the following:
Emotionally supporting anyone with snacks
Shedding on any and all dark clothing
Listening to humans explain that everything is fine
My favorite thing in the world is getting a pup cup and sticking my head out the window the entire drive up the mountain to Chateau. Also, smiling, smiling is my favorite.
