About Ben
Over the past 19 years, Ben Pearson has developed deep expertise working with first responders, families, adolescents and professionals navigating high stress and high risk environments.
Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of demanding roles, including conducting in home consultations focused on de escalation, family interventions, and high risk transports.
In addition, he has led family therapy sessions and supported family reunification processes during some of the most challenging phases of recovery.
Because of this breadth of experience, Ben brings a steady, informed presence to complex clinical situations, balancing safety, structure, and compassion.
Clinical Leadership and Program Development
Ben’s commitment to recovery and long term healing is further reflected in his leadership roles within treatment programs.
Prior to joining Chateau, he served as the Clinical Director of an intensive outpatient program, where he was deeply involved in clinical interventions, group facilitation, case management, and helping clients rebuild their lives from the ground up.
Earlier in his career, Ben spent more than 15 years in wilderness treatment.
He began as an instructor, living full time in the wilderness for three years, and later transitioned into a clinician role for over a decade.
During that time, he worked with adolescents and families from across the country, gaining a strong appreciation for experiential treatment models and family systems work.
Leadership at Chateau Recovery
For the past 12 years, Ben has served as the Clinical Director at Chateau Health & Wellness (formerly Chateau Recovery), where he leads a specialized and highly experienced clinical team.
Over the last 8 years, his focus has centered on developing and overseeing programming specifically designed for first responders.
In this role, Ben provides clinical supervision and training across both clinical and program departments. He is responsible for developing Chateau’s unique client centered clinical curriculum, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, and co facilitating weekly in house first responder support groups.
His leadership emphasizes consistency, clinical depth, and responsiveness to the unique needs of those who serve in high stress professions.
Contributions to the Mental Health and Addiction Fields
Beyond his work at Chateau, Ben is widely respected for his contributions to the broader mental health and substance use treatment fields.
He has presented at multiple regional and national professional conferences, sharing insights on trauma, addiction, and recovery oriented care.
As a result, his perspective is frequently sought after for its practical application, clinical integrity, and focus on sustainable healing for both individuals and families.

Under Ben’s guidance, Chateau Health & Wellness delivers trauma informed, highly individualized inpatient care for first responders and other professionals facing mental health and substance use challenges.
The program is known for its clinical intensity, robust trauma specific resources, and a clear commitment to improving overall well being, not only for clients, but for their families as well.
Life Beyond the Clinical Role
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Ben values time with his family and time outdoors. He is an avid soccer fan, enjoys fishing, and stays busy with home remodeling projects.
Most importantly, he loves exploring the wilderness with his wife and their five children, creating meaningful experiences that reflect the same values of connection, growth, and resilience that guide his clinical work.
