About University of Utah Health Plans

University of Utah Health Plans was formed in 1998. They are committed to improving the member experience, quality of care, health of populations, and reducing the cost of care. They currently serve members in the Mountain West specializing in the health plan administration of medical, mental health and pharmacy benefits for fully insured and self-funded employer groups, individuals and families, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
They value innovation and collaboration. As a health care partner, they are committed to improving the health of the community, providing access to the highest quality of care, and delivering exceptional value to their members, clients, and the community.

They are leaders in health care transformation. They recognize the importance of population health and payment reform and have developed extensive care management and value-based payment programs that improve health and align provider reimbursement with value and positive outcomes. Being integrated with University of Utah Health, they are uniquely positioned to bring greater value, better cost-efficiency, and an increased patient focus to their members and clients. They believe in the power of collaboration and the significant influence it has on cost, quality, and care.

U of U Network Benefits for Residential Treatment

U of U works with providers to reduce the costs of  Behavioral Health treatments.

Understanding your benefits can help patients and their loved ones choose the best treatment options for their individual needs and receive the best treatment mentally and physically. Here are some common questions that patients should ask about their plans to prepare for mental health care and rehab treatment:

  • Does my plan cover residential treatment?

  • How long will the plan cover your inpatient treatment and rehab stay?

  • Will the plan cover medications and prescription benefits?

  • What are my responsibilities for copays, premiums, deductibles and out of pocket maximums?

As a University of Utah provider, we know that having the answers to these questions will help prepare patients to work with us at Chateau Recovery.  We as an organization will work to provide you with the most financially affordable and evidence-based treatments for both mental health, addiction, and substance abuse recovery for yourself or a loved one.
